about
While cities across the nation mourn the myriad uncertainties of 2020, more than 45 native and resident musicians from Austin, Texas have joined forces to produce “Walk with Me,” a powerful anthem created to inspire and unite the city of Austin during a pivotal time in the U.S. Available for download and streaming starting today, “Walk with Me” brings hope to the community while addressing matters of social and racial injustice, civil unrest, equality and the global coronavirus pandemic.
lyrics
Shouldering the most don't get you nowhere don't it
My conscious is hot - no luxury I'm holding
I hold in things don't make me feel as open
Like everyday it's looking even hopeless
I lift my head up like a king, a queen to keep me going
Know it's a movement not a moment
Wasn't stopping no way
It's too much light to lock us out
The dark don't scare a soldier
I told em ima hold it down for em
Walking with this power that's my main component
Mama -- I Hope no cops don't pull me over
I hope this distancing just something that's gone get me closer
I hope they see it in my eyes
We tired of living lies
The thing she always told me
Baby they just getting over
I told her mama if I'm being honest
I just wanna walk in light know we just getting ours.
The faster that we slow down
Take stock and look around
When I see you, and you see me, too
My people in the struggle
You’re feelin down and out
And I see you, and you see me, too
Runnin’ since the day that I was born
Won’t you walk with me, wont you walk with us
We will rise
Rise in this together, if you walk with me
We will Rise
Rise in this together, if you walk with me
What Can you see out the window?
Is that you is that me?
Walk with me, I'll take a stand
Walk with me, I'll help you understand Love
Dont know if I can
Dont know If I can
Dont Understand
Take my Hand and walk with me
I think I can
I think I can
I think I can finally see
What you're saying to me
I know that I can
Lookin for a changeup, we need the changeup
Lookin for a changeup, we need the changeup
I get it, the lights fit it
I’m lined up, shined up
Lone Star equivalent, I’m a
A Powerful choice, the voice transmitted
The band did it, can’t wait till you come visit
En la lucha, y en todas partes
A Caminar, pa’ delante
En la lucha, y en todas partes
A Caminar, pa’ delante
Come walk with me,
In a shared destiny, where we live and we love, in complete harmony
Well you know the road is long, we got faith in this song
We gonna shine the light, keep the light shining bright through the fight
We will rise
We will rise
Rise in this together, if you walk with me
We will Rise
Rise in this together, if you walk with me
Walk with me
In this together

I haven't heard anything as just completely perfectly formed out of the gate--every decision the right one, what to include but more what to exclude--maybe ever. Don't know who Sault is, but they do not sound like they could be anyone who hasn't paid some dues to get this good. Or signed some Satanic contracts. 100% confidence, and it sounds 110% earned.
